Brown marble
This marble variety, also known as Rain Forest Brown, is highly versatile and takes an excellent polish. It features light to medium brown tones with dark brown, tree branch-like veining and subtle hints of white. Known for its exclusive texture, it enhances the look and feel of any interior. Characteristics in veining and movement vary between lots, depending on the different blocks from which the stone is extracted.
Due to the quality of this stone, the slabs are matched — slab one and slab two are cut to create a mirror image of each other. These are kept in sequence, allowing for a continuous flow in pattern. It is a common property of this stone to have voids in the raw material. Before the polishing stage, these voids are filled with a resin. Depending on the depth of the void, the resin may shrink slightly as it dries, leaving the filled area just a little lower than the surrounding surface. This does not affect the durability, maintenance or beauty of the stone. As a natural stone product, sealing is recommended to extend its lifetime.
